Volunteer

Volunteers provide St. Augustine Catholic High School with a life line.  Thank you to all volunteers! There are many opportunities to get involved and share your gifts of time and talents.  Current volunteer opportunities include: various clerical office positions, assisting with lunch duties, mailings, school book store sales and sprucing up the many beautiful flowers and vegetation on campus!  Also needed are talented and skilled computer people that can help create computer generated materials, assistance in the school library,  chapel and with social events, as well as other needs.

Call the Development Office at 520-751-8300, extensions: Teresa L. Baker #1003 or Doreen Alderete #1004 for more information.

St. Augustine Catholic High School has many wonderful volunteers.  We’d like to recognize two outstanding volunteers!

Lynne Kellner

Lynne’s grandson, David Kellner is a junior at St. Augustine Catholic High School.  Lynne has become the SACHS Hospitality Committee of one!  She knows the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach!  Every month, Lynne caters a wonderful, gourmet breakfast or lunch for all school faculty and staff members.  Birthdays are recognized monthly with a wonderful assortment of pies, cakes and more! There is no shortage of food or hospitality when Lynne is around and all diets go out the window!   Not only does she do all the party work, she has also made it her mission to donate the expenses she incurs for all the great festivities she provides!  In addition, she took on the challenge of the school’s faculty lounge in July, 2008 and supervised a complete renovation and updating.   Again, Lynne negotiated deals, services and paid for many items to help make the faculty room inviting and relaxing.  Lynne also volunteers in the Development Office.  If she calls you for a donation, you will not be able to say “no” to her!  The students, faculty and staff of St. Augustine Catholic High School appreciate LYNNE KELLNER!

Beth Madden

For the past two years, Beth has been a full-time volunteer in the busy Development Office!  We finally had to give her a desk and computer because she became a part of team!   Beth assists with a variety of jobs, but loves the challenge of anything on the computer.  She helps with writing donation letters, designing computer graphics and various creative projects, social events, mailings and more.  Beth’s son, Sammy Madden is a Sophomore at St. Augustine’s.  Beth donates all her time in this “full-time” unpaid position, which is her labor of love for St. Augustine Catholic High School!  The students, faculty and staff of St. Augustine Catholic High School salute BETH MADDEN!
