Tenure: This is Ms. Hinton's fourth year at SACHS.

Previous Teaching/Coaching: Ms. Hinton has extensive experience in counseling.  She served for 10 years as a counselor for the Department of Corrections at the Catalina Mountain Juvenile Facility as well as having five years of experience in alcohol and drug rehabilitation counseling and five years of family therapy.

Other Information: Mrs. Hinton has worked with adolescents and families throughout her career.  She thoroughly enjoys her work and feels particularly blessed to be part of the SACHS staff.  According to Ms. Hinton, "every day the students here at St. Augustine teach me something new and wonderful about life."  In addition to her work Ms. Hinton enjoys living in Tucson and considers herself to be a native since she has been here most of her life.  She loves the Sonoran desert landscape and is quite the gardner.  Ms. Hinton also enjoys listening to jazz, loves to read, hike, and write.
