volleyball1_300Welcome to Saint Augustine Lady Wolves volleyball! Over the past three seasons, the Lady Wolves have established themselves as one of the top teams in the 1A South region. During the fall 2008 season the Lady Wolves compiled an impressive 21-8 record, including strong finishes at both the Desert Classic and Rough Rider state-wide tournaments. The team advanced out of the South region to the state tournament finishing the year as one of the final 16 teams in the state. In addition to working hard at both practice and conditioning, the Lady Wolves program instills within its athletes a commitment to community and service to others through team community service projects at the Giving Tree homeless outreach center.

Coach Gant has been coaching volleyball and basketball for a total of eight years. After an extensive personal playing career in both volleyball and basketball, Coach Gant decided to try something new and played two seasons of professional women's tackle football for the Arizona Venom as a tight end. Coach Gant began coaching youth basketball at the YMCA eight years ago where she continues to this day. Coach Gant has coached for Zona Volleyball Club for the last three years. Upon coming to St. Augustine, Coach Gant served as the volleyball and girls' basketball head coach at St. Michael's Parish Day School, as well as being an assistant coach to the boys' basketball teams for the last two seasons. The last two seasons the volleyball teams went 31-5 winning the championship both seasons. The girls' basketball team went 23-8 winning the championship and 3rd place respectively.
